The Newt in Somerset

Centered around the historic mellow limestone Hadspen Hall, The Newt in Somerset has been created from a large working estate. Its parabola walled garden, previously famous for being laid out by Penelope Hobhouse, has been renovated, replanted and redesigned by Patrice Taravella. Today it sits within a completely rejuvenated estate which contains apple orchards, a cyder press, bottling plant and bar, mushroom house, History of Gardening Museum, farm shop and treetop walk. HLM are proud to have been part of the team making these changes happen, preparing an original Parkland Plan as well as Heritage Statements for many of the new projects both in Somerset and at the sister estate at The Chantry, St. Ive, Cornwall.
